How does it work?
Aggregation transforms intermittent generation into a tradable asset on the electricity markets.
The aggregator forecasts volumes, assumes responsibility for balancing, and sells energy under the best available contractual terms.
For producers, the challenge is to secure their income while limiting their exposure to price fluctuations and periods of negative prices.
The ACC adds a local dimension: a portion of the output is allocated to consumers within the loop, and the remainder is utilized.
Finally, the AO/CRE systems require rigorous management of market rules, metering, and modulation periods.
Equipment Control
Symphonics connects the power plant and, if applicable, the battery to its control and trading platform.
The dispatch instructions are calculated based on generation capacity, market prices, grid constraints, and equipment technology.
This control mechanism makes it possible to limit or defer injection when economic or grid conditions warrant it: negative prices, risks to security of supply, etc.
This production-storage integration makes it possible to move beyond simply purchasing energy to dynamically optimizing the asset.
ACC Example
A 1 MWp solar power plant generates electricity during the day and has a 1 MW / 2 MWh battery.
At noon, when electricity prices are low, some of the solar power charges the battery rather than being fed into the grid immediately.
At the end of the day, the battery releases energy during peak hours or makes itself available for grid services.
The producer maintains a simple operation while diversifying revenue streams based on the same asset.
