Services

What services are offered and how do they work?
Symphonics offers several services forultra-personalization of your equipment operating programs. Symphonics' services are either i) offered directly with the services of your equipment manufacturer or ii) implemented via theSymphonics application which allows you to pair the installed and compatible equipment yourself. Once the equipment is connected, Symphonics supports you in optimizing the programming. First, we retrieve the characteristics of your supply contract from ENEDIS (subscribed power, tariff option, peak and off-peak hours, etc.). Symphonics then suggests an optimized programming of your equipment that takes into account your off-peak hours, your comfort and your uses.  
  • You save money on your bill because Symphonics shifts consumption from peak hours to off-peak hours without impacting your usage or comfort. 
  • Symphonics can also offer diagnostic and operational alerts services: heat loss, verification of the correct sizing of your supply contract, proposals for building improvement, etc.
What is the commitment period? How to cancel?

Our services are non-binding.

How do we handle your data?

You have subscribed to this service by giving your consent for the use of your data from your equipment and your meter. This data is used to operate our supervision services and in particular to calculate: 

  • the optimized programming of your equipment to shift your consumption to off-peak hours without compromising your comfort;
  • diagnostics and operating alerts: heat loss, verification of the correct sizing of your supply contract, proposals for building improvement, etc. 

You can cancel the service and modify your consents at any time according to the terms described in our Privacy Policy.

Why is this service free?

Symphonics offers its services free of charge because we are compensated by RTE, the electricity transmission network operator. Symphonics is remunerated for its participation in RTE's calls for the security and maintenance of the electrical grid balance. During consumption peaks, the electrical system can either trigger expensive and carbon-intensive electricity production or call on flexibility aggregators – which we are – who have the capacity to shift the electrical consumption of their client portfolio.

What do I need to do to benefit from it? And on a daily basis?

The service is fully automated and requires no action on your part. 

The optimized programming is sent directly to your equipment, but you retain the ability to modify our suggestion. All you have to do is see the savings on your bill. Once this program is established: we take care of everything!

Savings and electricity contract

How does this service allow me to reduce my electricity bill?

Our optimized and personalized programs, based on your consumption profile, automatically shift certain consumption to off-peak hours. Since the latter are generally 30% cheaper than peak hours: you will save with every kWh shifted!

What reduction can I expect on my bill?

It all depends on your consumption. However, our clients typically shift an average of 10% of the consumption initially planned for peak hours to off-peak hours. For a 150m2 house heated with electricity, this represents a saving of approximately €108 per year on average.

Do I have to change energy supplier?

No, the service works regardless of your supplier, without any action on your part or ours.

How do I find out the peak and off-peak hours of my electricity contract?

Consult your electricity contract or your Symphonics application. 

If you have opted for the peak/off-peak (HP/HC) tariff option with your electricity supplier, you benefit from a total of 8 off-peak hours.

These 8 hours are generally spread over one or two time slots. They are determined by the Distribution Network Operator (generally ENEDIS) according to local network constraints and vary depending on your place of residence. The times at which your peak and off-peak hours start and end are indicated in your electricity contract, generally with your consumption ratio for each time slot. This information will be updated directly in theSymphonics application in the event of any changes.

My electricity contract is a Base contract, i.e. without a peak/off-peak tariff, can I still benefit?

Yes. This does not prevent you from benefiting from the service, reducing your emissions and making a solidarity-based contribution to the good of the grid! Furthermore, if you wish to change your electricity tariffs, simply contact your energy supplier to switch to peak/off-peak hours.

I already have an energy manager in my electrical panel, what more will you do?

The two services are compatible and complementary. 

Your energy manager – a device for optimizing energy consumption – does not interpret your supplier's tariffs in order to adapt your heating. Similarly, your energy manager does not take into account the impact of the weather on temperature variations in your home. All these services are integrated into our services.

Equipment

Can this service damage the equipment or alter its operation?

Symphonics works directly with the manufacturers, so we know which equipment is compatible and which is not. What's more, Symphonics' services use the manufacturers' software and interfaces. Because we don't add a layer of hardware or technology, we can't alter the way your equipment works.

My equipment is no longer working?

Contact your manufacturer. Symphonics services use the manufacturers' software and interfaces. As we do not add an extra layer of hardware or technology, we cannot alter the operation of your equipment. Therefore, in the event of equipment failure, you should contact the manufacturer or installer of your equipment, whose contact details are on the quote you received during installation.

Is my equipment compatible?

If you have a Linky meter (ENEDIS network) and at least one connected device in your home, you should be eligible. Contact us on moiaussijenprofite@symphonics.fr to confirm your eligibility.

What if I change equipment or it is not working?

Environment

How is this service environmentally friendly?

This service contributes to grid balance and is environmentally friendly. Indeed, electricity produced during off-peak hours is much less carbon-intensive than that produced during peak hours. You are therefore making a concrete gesture for the planet!

During peak consumption periods, the electrical system triggers carbon-intensive electricity production (gas or oil-fired power plants). With Symphonics, you avoid starting up these polluting production methods and thus participate in a less carbon-intensive electricity mix.

Also, be aware that Symphonics is careful to select partners and subcontractors who contractually commit to reducing their environmental footprint.

Application

How do I set up the Symphonics application?
  1. Access your phone's store.

  2. Enter the application name "Symphonics" in the search bar.
  3. Select the application with the following logo:

How do I add my devices and take advantage of the service?

You can add your devices by following this tutorial.

  1. In the home interface, press “ADD” or the “+” symbol and “Add a device” at the top of your screen.
  2. Activate your Geolocation and Bluetooth to enable your equipment to communicate with your cell phone.
    1. Make sure your device is in pairing mode (see your device's user manual).

After a few minutes, your device will be displayed.

All you have to do is select the “ADD” button.

How do I change my password?

You are connected to the application, 

  1. Go to your Profile at bottom right
  2. Click on the Settings wheel at top right
  3. Scroll down to Disconnect
  4. Confirm your choice
  5. Once you have done this, click on Connect
  6. Click on Forgot password
  7. Fill in your email
  8. Get a verification code on the email you send us
  9. Enter the code and renew your password

Who is Symphonics?

Since 2023, the company has been managing connected equipment in buildings to shift consumption to less expensive and lower-carbon hours. It also offers diagnostic and alert services in the event of equipment malfunctions.
